Our traditional ANZAC ceremony was conducted in the hall last Friday morning. We involve as many students as we can in this very formal recognition of this nationally recognized day.

The ceremony involves brief explanations of what war is, the sadness of war, the significance of the ANZAC legend status, the commitment of individuals and a reflection on the beauty and value of our Australia. The 197 children responded beautifully to the rather brief formal proceedings, and I do believe have an age appropriate understanding of the significance of the day to us. I thank the following children for assisting us with the ceremony:

John McClutchie, Natasha Green,Gabby Raciti, Ronja Cook, Brittany Barrett, Angelene Ives, Rivah Doidge-Takamore, Ken Johnson, Andy Chapman, Mary Ojo, Sarah Atkins, Keanu Mavracic, Tiarna Kilgour, Stephanie Ryan and Quentin Dykes.
