We would like to take this opportunity to introduce you and your family to Frankston East Primary School. We believe you will find our community to be an open and friendly one, with a sincere desire for you to take an active part in your child's schooling.

Frankston East is a government school in the eastern suburbs of Melbourne with a school population of approximately 190 students, divided into 9 classes from Prep to Grade 6.

Our programs are provided in the eight Key Learning Areas, with specialist programs in Art, Music and Physical Education. We have computers in all classrooms and fully networked computer lab located within our library. All computers are linked to laser printers within each learning area. Our Music program is an area of pride for Frankston East, with our highly regarded choir providing children with the opportunity to display their musicianship by performing in front of a range of audiences.

One of the great parts of the Frankston East school community is the extent of parental involvement. On any day at the school you will observe many parents participating in school life in a variety of ways; listening to children read, helping children at the computer pods, assisting in the library, helping out with the Perceptual Motor Program, serving food, participating in excursions, working with sport teams, sitting on council or committees, helping with parents' club, contributing time and skills to the maintenance of school facilities; the list goes on.

This is a vital part of education at Frankston East. It is not simply making life easier for the teaching staff; it is active, hands on involvement in the development of your children. It enables many educational activities to be undertaken that would otherwise be out of the reach of the school. In addition, you as parents will also establish new friendships and the school can become a valued part of your own social life.

Frankston east Primary School has an outstanding prep program, offering exemplary education for your children. Our current teaching staffs at this extremely important grade level are only too happy to share their classrooms with interested parents.

This open door policy exists in all classrooms across the school, and we welcome you to come and see our school in action for yourself with your child in mind at any stage of their primary schooling.

The selection of the most appropriate primary school for your child is one of the more important education related decisions you will have to make. Visits to prospective schools are by far the best way to make an informed decision, thereby ensuring that you choose the school best able to meet your child's individual needs.
