Student Leaders

At Frankston East Primary School, we are proud to offer a wide range of leadership opportunities to our Grade 6 students. Whether they are School Captains, House Leaders, or part of student-led committees, our senior students play a vital role in shaping the school community. These leadership roles help develop confidence, responsibility, and communication skills, while also encouraging teamwork and compassion. By giving our students the chance to lead, we empower them to take initiative, be positive role models for younger peers, and build skills that will support their transition to secondary school and beyond.

Environmental Representatives

Our school has a significant Sustainability policy which encourages students to practice Sustainable actions to care for our immediate environment and be a part of the greater goal of caring for the only Earth we have.

The Et reps are a crucial part of this Sustainable practise in our school, supported by a class teacher. They are responsible for:

*Encouraging students in their class to compost and then emptying the class compost regularly.

*Encouraging the class to reuse paper when they can, recycle paper and cardboard in the classroom and turn off lights and E-whiteboards when appropriate.

The senior ET reps are responsible for reminding students at Assemblies about Nude Food Day which is once a week and monitoring this on the day. They see which class has the most percentage of students with Nude food for that day and give that grade a card at assembly. The grade that wins over the year receive a Nude Food recess at the end of the year.

Once a term the Et reps aim to raise awareness of an Environmental issue that the school community can support in a simple way by organising an activity to raise money for an organisation. The Senior ET reps announce this at assemblies and other reps make posters for this event as well as talk to their class about it.

During each term the ET reps meet with the supporting teacher to check if things are running smoothly and to put forward ideas on what could be done better or what activities could be good to run for raising awareness of an Environmental issue.
We have reps from each grade, as it's so important to encourage sustainability and a love for caring for the world we live in.
