The Frankston East Primary School Council plays a vital role in the governance and strategic direction of our school. Comprised of elected parent members, Department of Education employees, and community representatives, the School Council works in partnership with the Principal to ensure the best possible outcomes for our students.

Our School Council is responsible for:

  • Setting the strategic direction of the school through the development and monitoring of the School Strategic Plan
  • Approving the Annual Implementation Plan and school budget
  • Overseeing major policy development and school operations
  • Making decisions about buildings, grounds, and equipment
  • Raising funds to enhance educational programs and facilities
  • Fostering strong connections between the school and our local community

School Council meetings are held regularly throughout the year, providing an important forum for parents and staff to contribute to decision-making processes that shape our school's future.

We value the diverse perspectives and expertise our School Council members bring, and we encourage all families to consider nominating for School Council when elections are held each year. It's a wonderful opportunity to be actively involved in your child's school and make a meaningful contribution to our school community.

For more information about our School Council, including meeting dates and how to get involved, please contact the school office.
